Protected Education Time Session (PETS)

Protected Education Time (PETS) – Supporting Our Practice Teams

Supporting learning and development across our GP practices

Protected Education Time (PETS) sessions take place regularly across our member GP practices. They provide dedicated time for practice teams to take part in training, education and professional development.

These sessions help staff keep their knowledge and skills up to date and support practices to continue improving the care they provide to patients.

What does this mean for patients?

On PETS dates, participating GP practices will close at 1:00pm to allow staff to attend the session. Practices will reopen at their normal time on the following day.

If you need an appointment on a PETS afternoon, please contact your GP practice in advance to discuss the available options.
